Calling the Liberal Government to Protect Essex Business and Jobs | Mar 2, 2021
On March 2, Chris Lewis made an impassioned appeal to the Liberal government to address the serious challenges business owners in his riding are facing with respect to quarantine restrictions and their need for cross border travel for commerce.
Jobs are at stake. Lewis asked the Government to declare such travel “essential”.
This questioning took place at the Special Committee on the Economic Relationship between Canada and the United States. Chris was talking specifically with Michael Grant the Assistant Deputy Minister for the Americas at Global Affairs Canada.
