It was an honour to make my maiden speech of the 44th Canadian Parliament today.
As Deputy Shadow Minister for Labour, I was happy to see that the Bill will protect frontline workers and make it an offence to intimidate them, prevent people from seeking healthcare, or interfere with professionals giving health care. It will also provide a mandatory 10 days of sick pay for those in Federally regulated sectors.
