“The Senate passed at third reading of Bill C-228 on pension protection. This is an incredible moment for Canadians across the country who have suffered under previous legislation, not receiving the full pension they were owed upon their employer’s bankruptcy (think Sears, Nortel, etc.).
This fight has been more than a year in the making, and I am grateful to all who helped get this bill past the finish line.”
