July 2024 News

Thanks for visiting Essex Larry! | July 26, 2024

Great evening with my friend and former Member of Parliament (Bruce-Grey- Owen Sound) Larry Miller.

An excellent dinner at the Grove!

Premiers Tell Trudeau His Catch And Release Policies Are Risking Canadians’ Safety | July 26, 2024

The Premiers highlighted Ontario, where they say the catch and release policies have resulted in “multiple instances where individuals have been arrested for stealing cars multiple times and released on bail the very next day … police services should not have to chase the same criminal three or four times because of an inadequate bail system. Canadians deserve better. Only Common Sense Conservatives will bring home safe streets by giving violent repeat offenders jail, not bail.

Condolences | July 25, 2024

With a heavy heart my deepest condolences to the family and residents of Lakeshore on the passing of my friend and Councillor Patrick “Paddy” Byrne.

He was truly a devoted man for his community. One of a kind to say the least.

You’ll be missed dearly “Paddy”. Lakeshore has lost a great ambassador.

Belle River Business | July 25, 2024

Pure Vibez Nutrition is a newer business in Belle River that serves healthy and nutritious shakes, energy boosting teas, and protein coffees. I had a great opportunity to meet with Daniel and to hear about his business journey and to witness the passion he has for the products he promotes, but more importantly, for the people he coaches in achieving their health and weight loss goals.

We were joined by Colin Grimmond of Empowerment Squared (E2) and Southwestern Ontario Black Entrepreneurship Network (SWOBEN). Thanks Colin for the introduction and for arranging this visit!

Sneak Peek | July 24, 2024

It was great to get a sneak peek at the Gordie Howe International Bridge. Looking forward to its completion as it will enhance the border crossing experience in our area.

Congratulations and thank you to all of our skilled trades workers who have made this possible.

Meeting with Veterans | July 24, 2024

I was honoured to join Pierre Poilievre at the Royal Canadian Legion in Oldcastle. It “is home to the legendary warriors who fought for Canada and defended freedom. We discussed how to rebuild our military, honour our heroes and serve our veterans.” It was a privilege to be in a room full of women and men and their families who sacrificed so much for us and especially to meet Charles Davis, 101 year old veteran of the Second World War.

Thank you to all who have protected and continue to protect our freedom and our country.

Reko Automation Group | July 24, 2024

I was thrilled to join Pierre and my colleagues, Dave Epp, MP Chatham, Kent, Leamington and Marilyn Gladu, MP Sarnia-Lambton at Reko Automation Group. It is always fascinating to see the incredible work that happens in our own backyard. The Reko group of companies is no exception. From its humble beginnings in the ‘70s to a trusted, innovative, North American leader in manufacturing, Reko has vision and passion from CEO, Diane Reko, through the management team and the people they employ. There is something special here!

On a Windsor tour with the Conservative Leader, Pierre Poilievre! | July 24, 2024

First stop LiUNA! 625. What an incredible training facility they have, investing in and raising up skilled tradespeople! These are the people that will build the homes we so desperately need! These are the people that are at the heart of my Private Members Bill – C241 calling for tax fairness for skilled trades workers as they travel to build our country!

Carbon tax on farmers | July 23, 2024

Great update with Lyle Hall, Past president of the Essex County Federation of Agriculture (ECFA), discussing agriculture concerns, removing Carbon Tax from drying grain and supporting those who put food on our tables.

BREAKING: National decriminalization | July 22, 2024

In a newly released memo from the Liberal government, it has been confirmed that Justin Trudeau has a plan for a “national decriminalization” program.

As a direct result of the NDP-Liberal hard drug legalization experiment, drug overdoses have become the leading cause of death for children in BC between the age 10 to 18.

Only Common Sense Conservatives will ban hard drugs and invest in treatment and recovery to bring home our loved ones drug free.

They are not worth the cost! | July 17, 2024

Sellout Singh joined Trudeau’s government and food prices are now MORE EXPENSIVE.

They tax the farmer and the trucker, making YOU pay more.

Our common sense plan: Axe the tax. Bring home lower prices.

Jail not Bail | July 11, 2024

New data directly from the Liberal government shows that in 2022, 256 people were killed by someone out on bail or another form of release. This is equal to 29% of all homicides committed that year. Violent crime is up 39%, murders are up 43%. Gang-related homicides are up 108%, and violent gun crime is up 101%.

Only Common Sense Conservatives will ensure that repeat violent offenders get jail, not bail, and bring home safe streets for Canadians.

Thank you | July 7, 2024

It was an honour to congratulate Paul Chartier and Brian Ciphery on their lifetime membership, at the Harrow Legion Branch 338, today.

Thank you for your many years of service and volunteering, leaving the world a better place than we found it.

Thanks to my team of volunteers who came out today!

Bondy Baits | July 4, 2024

Just like a favorite fishing hole, Bondy Baits is a fishing hole treasure for anglers. It was great to meet and visit Jon today.

As an avid angler, it is excellent to have their locally produced lures in our own back yard to help us catch “the BIG ONE”

Please support local and visit Bondy Baits!
