Andrew Scheer Resignation | Dec 12, 2019

Today, Andrew Scheer put his family first. As he said in his speech in the House announcing his resignation, “In order to chart the course ahead, this party and this movement need someone who can give 100% to the effort. After some conversations with my kids and loved ones, I felt it was time to put family first.”

I thank him for his years of service to this country and to our party. I am grateful for the support he gave me during my successful campaign to be MP for Essex.

He remains a valued colleague. He has my respect and friendship. May he serve his constituents in Regina Qu’Appelle long and well.

MP Lewis will not be commenting further at this time.
