Parliament is an Essential Service | May 27, 2020

The Government is still refusing to allow us to have Opposition Days, request Emergency Debates, debate Private Members Bills, order the publication of government documents, or debate and vote on committee reports.

While it took months for the government to finally agree with our persistent calls for increased in-person sittings in the House, we are pleased that they have finally agreed to more in-person Question Period sessions in the House of Commons.

While we do not support this motion, we will not get in the way of allowing this motion to come to a vote, and will use our time of debate in a reasonable fashion to ask the many questions Canadians want asked and to highlight the many ways this government has failed them.
