Small Businesses Are the Backbone of Our Communities | May 5, 2020
Despite the hard times and a loss of fifty or sixty percent of their revenue, many have stayed open, adapted their businesses to online, curbside or takeout only, kept paying their employees and serving our communities. Now, it seems they will have to close in order to get the rental relief they desperately need.
Government programs need to help businesses through this crisis, not shut them down. Parliament must address this shortfall immediately.
We can and must do better. Canada’s economic recovery depends on it!
