Demand for Some to Repay CERB Scrapped by Federal Government | Feb 9, 2021
Today, the government announced that self-employed Canadians who applied and received up to $14,000 in CERB payments in 2020 despite not meeting net income eligibility criteria will not be forced to repay the money.
Clear and concise communications are crucial during a crisis. Unfortunately, the Trudeau Liberals gave individuals the wrong information regarding the CERB and as a result many Canadians applied for and received benefits they didn’t qualify for.
Conservatives will continue to work for those who have been left behind by Justin Trudeau and focus on securing jobs and getting Canadians back to work.
