National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day | Oct 15, 2021

Today is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

On this day, we honour those who have suffered through child loss and seek to break the stigma surrounding this sensitive topic. No parent or family should ever suffer in silence.

Approximately 15 to 20 percent of women will experience the loss of an infant or a pregnancy in their lifetime.

Today is a day not to stir up feelings of sorrow, but rather to bring awareness to families and mothers, who have suffered the loss of a precious child, be it from miscarriages, born stillborn, or from infant death.

Life is precious at any stage, no matter the length of time spent on this Earth. I ask you to take the time today to stand with those who have experienced this type of loss. To those who have lost a child, or know someone who has, we may not understand the pain you feel, but we are here to support you.

Every lost child deserves to be mourned, and every family deserves love and support.”
