Extending the Emergencies Act?! | Feb 22, 2022
Not sure if some of you realized it or not but last night, with voting barely done, Ministers Blair and Mendicino spoke to media and raised the possibility of extending​ the emergency measures.
According to Globe and Mail reporter Marieke Walsh: “Ministers Bill Blair and Marco Mendicino won’t be tied to any timeline for how long the emergency declaration will be in place. They say they hope it will be shorter than the 30 days, but also note it could be extended.”
This is after the Finance Minister already said she is looking to make provisions permanent.
This government cannot be trusted.
