“Last week’s report from Canada’s financial watchdog proves what Canadians already knew about the NDP/Trudeau’s carbon tax: it is costing you money.
“For weeks the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Steven Guilbeault has been claiming eight in 10 Canadians get more money back from the carbon tax. The PBO report says that’s not true and ‘most households’ that are subject to Trudeau’s carbon tax ‘will see a net loss.’
“After years of the Liberals saying their carbon tax results in more money in the pockets of Canadians, it’s time for the Liberal government to end the charade and admit that Canadian households are in fact losing money and will continue to lose money because of the carbon tax.
“Here are the facts, every year the carbon tax goes up, the losses get worse for Canadians, and Trudeau’s government continues to miss every climate target while providing no leadership on zero-emissions nuclear energy or low emissions liquified natural gas (LNG).
“During a time of out control inflation and people worrying about the price of food, gas, and groceries, Conservatives believe Canadians do not deserve even more costs from Trudeau’s carbon tax.”
