For the first time in over 31 years, prices are up 6.7 per cent compared to a year ago.
After seven years of Justin Trudeau’s policies, Canadians are facing record-high inflation and a skyrocketing cost-of-living leading to higher grocery and gas prices, and a growing housing affordability crisis. More than half of Canadians are $200 or less away from not being able to pay their bills or rent, with three-in-ten already falling behind at the end of the month. The NDP-Liberal budget presented earlier this month does nothing to address this.
I will always be the voice of constituents left behind by the spiraling cost of living. I will continue to propose common-sense solutions to provide relief to Canadians, leave more money in their pockets, and protect the value of the money they earn.
