Ojibway Park Bill at Committee | Oct 21, 2022
On Friday, I was happy to sit on the Environment Committee to ask Brian Masse, MP for Windsor-West, about his Bill (Bill C-248) to make #Ojibway Park a National Urban Park managed by Parks Canada.
There are so many good reasons for this project to go ahead. A National Urban Park in our area will improve the natural space for people to relax and enjoy the outdoors which in turn will improve both the health and the mental health of those living in the surrounding areas.
It will also help attract foot and bike traffic across the region and from the USA, once the foot and bike tracks are completed on the Gordie-Howe Bridge. Of course, this park will ensure that the natural habitat of some 200 species will be preserved as well. Thank you, MP Masse for answering my questions.
