It was a beautiful day for the annual Walk for Parkinson’s.
“Parkinson’s is a chronic, degenerative neurological disorder that affects more than 100 000 Canadians. Once thought to only affect the elderly, there is now a growing number of people under the age of 40 that are being diagnosed. There is also no known cause or cure at this time.
As an organization, the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario is home for people living with Parkinson’s in Southwestern Ontario. Their purpose is to enhance the quality of life and care for people living with Parkinson’s in our communities. The proceeds raised by our amazing local communities during the walk go to supporting our local programs and services for people with Parkinson’s.
