Each year, I look forward to starting Remembrance Week in Woodslee. It is good to remember and to honour those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. It is important to take the time to thank those who risked it all for our Country. They willingly went, they served with bravery and conviction and they returned forever changed by war.

The sacrifice of parents and grandparents, spouses and children and extended family and friends must not be forgotten. They willingly said goodbye to their loved ones to face each day with uncertainty. My heart is filled with gratitude, today and every day for their service.

Thank you veterans and those who continue to serve Canada. Please also take a minute to thank a veteran and our service members.
