Discussions with SWIFT Rural Broadband | Jan 8, 2021
Fibre broadband coverage is a major issue for rural ridings across Canada and Essex is no exception.
Yesterday I had a report and discussion with Barry Field from SWIFT Rural Broadband.
SWIFT is a non profit municipally-led broadband expansion project created to improve internet connectivity in underserved communities and rural areas across Southwestern Ontario.
There are some promising developments but we still have a long way to go to get quality, fast, broadband to everyone across the riding and we need it now more than ever.
I appreciate Barry’s very informative presentation and answers to my questions. I know that SWIFT is working hard and lobbying government to get the job done!!
