“It’s vital that we get this right — we’re not saying open the door for shopping,” said MP Chris Lewis (C—Essex), adding he’s raised the issue numerous times in recent weeks in the House of Commons and at the committee level. “The reality is, we’re bleeding and hemorrhaging jobs.”
Lewis said the sector isn’t asking for the easing of restrictions only that valid visa holders — business owners, key employees, customers — be “allowed to do their jobs.”
