It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the students, whose art is featured in my second Community Calendar, with the Artist Award event at my Constituency Office, this morning!

Students from grades 3-6 across the County of Essex were invited to submit their original 8.5×11 colour artwork for consideration. The theme for the 2026 Calendar is “What I Like About My Community”.

Ten of the featured artists attended the event, along with their guests. Each artist received a recognition certificate and a Parliamentary-themed gift. Their beautiful art is not only highlighted each month in the Community Calendar, the original art is also framed on a feature wall in my Essex Constituency Office, where it will remain for the calendar year.

Thanks to the students, but also to the parents and teachers that encouraged participation and took time out to celebrate with me these, talented young people!
