QP: Ending Punitive Measures at the Border – Silence | Mar 12, 2021

Yesterday I asked a very direct and blunt question to the Liberal Government: when are you going to end the punitive measures at the border and designate the owners, employees and customers of businesses doing cross-border commerce “essential”?

The question was so upfront that nobody could answer it including the Minister of Public Safety’s Parliamentary Secretary who does Friday duty.

It fell to the Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Export Development who resorted to Talking Points on job statistics. Watch for the long pause as they pass the buck.

Rest assured, I will keep the pressure on. Millions of dollars of business and good-paying, skilled jobs are at stake.
