Educating Canada’s Future Labour Force | Sep 29, 2022
Today, I met with Michael Sangster, Chief Executive Officer of the National Associations of Career Colleges (NACC). It was a pleasure discussing NACC’s success in preparing their students for jobs the Canadian economy so desperately needs: personal support workers, electricians, truck drivers, and so much more. Thank you, NACC, for your commitment to your student’s and their success, as well as your development of Canada’s labour force!
A conversation with OCC | Sep 29, 2022
Thank you to Dr. Alicia Tone – Scientific Advisor for Ovarian Cancer Canada (OCC) and Andrea Kent, recent survivor of ovarian cancer for your presentation and touching testimonial about the need for early detection and solutions for ovarian cancer. Having lost a very dear friend to this, years ago, it was a moving time this morning hearing the challenges but also the positive results of the current research.
Needless to say, I will be giving my full support to future funding for this research. Well done Ovarian Cancer Canada!!
To UHC-Hub… | Sep 24, 2022
Thank you to UHC-Hub and all you do in our community. At the end of September I had the honour of celebrating the work of UHC-Hub at the 9th Annual Plentiful Harvest Gala! Thank you June Muir, CEO of UHC-Hub for the invitation and all those in attendance for a wonderful evening. This is the type of organisation that makes a world of difference to people in our community. I know the The Hub works hard for people in Belle River and Windsor. Thank you to all the team at the UHC-Hub for all you do.

After months of Conservative pressure, Liberals will finally remove vaccine mandates and ArriveCAN requirements for travelers. Thank you to all those who continue to support us on this. Your inquiries to my office and to my colleagues help us move forward. More to come.
The Passing of the Queen | Sep 8, 2022
It is with a heavy heart that we learned, this afternoon, of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. I want to express my deepest condolences to the Royal family. We grieve with the loss of our longest-reigning monarch.
While our country has been cast into mourning, our thoughts and prayers are with her entire family, and especially with His Majesty, King Charles III. Long may he reign.
A Pin for the President of St. Clair College | Sep 8, 2022
It was fun to surprise Patti France, President of St. Clair College, with a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee pin for her service and leadership to our community today. Patti lives in my riding and is well deserving of this recognition for her ongoing work at the college and in our area. Well done!
Discussion with the OFA | Sep 7, 2022
Thank you to Leo and Ann from Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) in Essex County. It was great to see so many farmers in one place. Thank you for letting me speak to the group and more importantly thank you for all of the good questions in our discussion time. Agriculture is such a big part of the riding. Let’s keep discussing and looking for solutions for those issues we discussed.

Parade Day!! | Sep 3, 2022
What a great morning at the Harrow Fair Parade! It was fantastic to see the crowds, once again, lining the parade route!
I appreciate the opportunity to connect with old friends, meet many new friends, watch the children enjoying the sights, and shake the paws of our four legged friends (and share a treat!)

Enjoy the rest of the fair, folks! It is great to be back together, again! Thanks Team Lewis for joining me on this hot and humid day, you are the best!
Meet Essex’s Newest Resident | Sep 2, 2022
This is Illia and Elisabeth. Illia is one of the first Ukrainian refugees to come to Essex County and Elisabeth, and her husband, Thomas, have helped house Illia during his transition into the area. I was pleased to hear that, after connecting with my office, Illia has been granted a full refugee scholarship at the University of Windsor. He starts next week. So glad we could help. It was a pleasure to meet with Illia, today. Welcome to Essex and Canada!!! Well done University of Windsor for getting Illia a place in his program so quickly! Please be praying for his family back in Ukraine!

Back at the Harrow Fair! | Sep 1, 2022
The Pie Auction, supporting the John McGivney Children’s Centre, is always a highlight! This year I added an additional opportunity to support the work of this great Centre. My offer of dinner for 4 with my beautiful wife, Allison and I, at Mettawas Station Mediterranean Restaurant was kindly supported to the tune of $3200.00! Congratulations to all attendees and pie winners for your enthusiastic support of the fundraising efforts!
Thank you Harrow Fair board for bringing our fair back for its 166th year!!
Scrap the App! | Sep 1, 2022
Thank you Douglas Lovegrove, President, Aaron Michie, VP Finance and Joel Glatter, Account Manager for Osella Technolgies Inc. for inviting me to your facilities to show me how essential it is to scrap the ArriveCAN app!!! I appreciate that you took time to explain how ArriveCAN is putting your contracts in jeopardy since US business people will not risk coming to Canada for fear of fines and problems at the border!!! Myself and Conservatives will fight federally for freer border movement for businesses and individuals. This is more evidence for scrapping the app! Thank you for your time Douglas, Aaron and Joel.
