Are Canadians ready for change yet? | Jan 28, 2023
The pinch of high inflation and interest rates is painting a bleak picture for some Canadians, with an Ipsos poll conducted exclusively for Global News finding 22 per cent of those surveyed say they are “completely out of money.” According to these Canadians, they have reached a point where they feel they would not be able to pay for more than household necessities. Watch here.
How much more will the NDP and Canadians support this government? | Jan 25, 2023
BREAKING: Justin Trudeau’s inflationary deficits give us an 8th consecutive interest rate hike from the Bank of Canada today. Canadians are now forced to pay the price for Liberal spending through more expensive mortgages, loans, and servicing of Trudeau’s debt.

When I heard it was Helen Capson’s birthday this week I knew I had to show my appreciation for her life so went to present her with a certificate. Helen has been a beacon of encouragement and positivity to me in my journey in politics but also in life in general.
Thank you, Helen, for your service and support. You are always fun to be around!
Civics Class | Jan 19, 2023
It was encouraging to be with two Grade 10 Civics classes at St Thomas of Villanova High School earlier today. I had chance to speak about the importance of being civically engaged and the purpose of getting involved in politics. Students can be leaders in whatever field they decide to pursue and by doing this they can help leave the world a better place than they found it! Great to be with the next generation and future leaders. Thank you to the students and teachers who welcomed me! I know many have exams next week. All the best and keep up the good work!

Talking with Kraft Heinz | Jan 18, 2023
One of the biggest food producers in Canada is Kraft Heinz. They produce $2 billion of food a year and are in need of many more workers across all of their sites. They are constantly looking for new talent in non-skilled, skilled and management positions but like so many companies at the moment find it difficult to recruit those they need. Let’s work at cutting red tape and training barriers to get the people we need into the jobs they need! Thank you to Matt Tiemstra for setting this meeting up and thank you to VP of Government Relations at Kraft Heinz, Av Maharaj, for the useful conversation.
Talking government in Gr. 5 | Jan 17, 2023
This afternoon I was with the grade 5’s at Lasalle Public School talking about the government system in Canada and the importance of service to our community. Students asked so many good questions about the issues facing our country and how the different levels of government work to solve problems. I encouraged the kids to work hard at the things they’re passionate about and never take no for an answer! What a great bunch of kids. Thank you to Andrea Longmuire for the invitation.
