 Axe the Sales Tax on New Homes | Oct 29, 2024

Common Sense Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre announced that as Prime Minister he will axe the federal sales tax (or GST) on new homes sold for under $1 million.
 
In Ontario, about 39 percent of the total taxes on a new home go to politicians and bureaucrats in Ottawa.
 
Only Common Sense Conservatives will bring home Canada’s promise: that hard work earns a powerful paycheque that buys affordable food and homes in safe neighbourhoods.

PBO report confirms: NDP-Liberal carbon tax costs Canadians more than rebates cover. Average annual net costs range from $457 to $903 across provinces. Despite government claims, most Canadians are financially worse off. The tax is set to quadruple by 2030, potentially costing the economy $30.5 billion annually.

Wealth Gap Widens | Oct 5, 2024

Canadians are experiencing one of the worst slides in living standards in our country’s history. The dire state of Canada’s economy was confirmed again yesterday by the Fraser Institute, who reported that Canadians’ incomes have drastically fallen behind the incomes of Americans. In this, the Fraser Institute’s research shows that “Canadian provinces are getting poorer relative to their US peers.”
 
Only Common Sense Conservatives will end Trudeau’s out-of-control spending, fix the budget, and bring home powerful paycheques for all Canadians.
