The Harrow Fair! | Aug 31, 2023
169 years of family traditions, spanning the generations, across Essex County.
Kicking it off with the pie auction, raising money for The John McGivney Centre. The first pie auctioned in honour of Lonnie, sold for $10,000.
To date the pie auction has raised over $280,000! Tonight’s event rocketed that total over $300,000! Proud to be a part of this generous community!
LaSalle Hangout for Youth | Aug 31, 2023
“Leave the world a better place than you found it.” And “it is important to invest in our youth – the next generation”. Are two phrases I say often. These are mottos I use in my life. LaSalle Hangout For Youth is doing this in spades! It was great to meet with Brian and the staff that has run the summer program and to hear about their experience, motivation and future plans. Also good to hear from the students that enjoy the valuable program. What a great service LaSalle Hangout provides to the LaSalle Community!

I always enjoy meeting with Rakesh Naidu, CEO of Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce. It was interesting to hear about several of the advocacy points the chamber is supporting. They have been supporting local businesses for almost 150 years now.

I met Anthony Caputo, CEO of CanArt Aluminium Extrusion Inc. here in Lakeshore today and several workers.
Anthony was an amazing host and explained the needs and challenges they are facing but also the amazing work this company is doing here in Canada, and the growth they are facing. It was a highlight for me to meet many female skilled workers doing an amazing job! Thank you, Anthony!

What an awesome visit to the air traffic control tower at Windsor Airport this morning. The view was amazing to say the least. Air Traffic Controller’s are in high demand. Thank you Canadian Air Traffic Control Association – CATCA for arranging this tour and meeting as well as NAV CANADA for accommodating my visit fantastic conversation that I will bring to Ottawa to enhance flights for Essex-Windsor.
Nature Conservancy in Harrow | Aug 23, 2023
We dodged the rain this afternoon to celebrate the protection of important wetlands in Harrow. Essex County has a high quantity of endangered species and Nature Conservancy Canada (NCC) have committed to taking care of these lands for future generations to enjoy. Thank you to NCC and their whole team, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks for Ontario, David Piccini, MPP Anthony Leardi , MP Irek Kusmierczyk for celebrating this great achievement for the region. I was happy to be out in the area where I grew up enjoying nature.

Second annual plowing match | Aug 5, 2023
This weekend we celebrated the Essex County Plowing Match being held at Trimble Farms for the second time! Thank you Dave and Adam Trimble for hosting this year’s event!
It is always a joy and an adventure to attend the Essex County Plowing Match. Congratulations Kirk Walstedt, Deputy Mayor of Municipality of Lakeshore, for plowing a straighter row than mine! My Grandpa Jack Lewis would be proud that farming is in my blood!

Meeting with CARP | Aug 1, 2023
Today I had a great meeting with CARP (Canadian Association of Retired Persons). Thank you to the members of the Long Term Care Transformation Committee (LTCTC) of CARP for explaining your frustration and concern regarding long term care for seniors. It certainly was a productive meeting with many great ideas put forward.
I will bring these concerns to our Leader, Pierre Poilievre and my Conservative colleagues.
