LaSalle Hangout for Youth | Aug 31, 2023
“Leave the world a better place than you found it.” And “it is important to invest in our youth – the next generation”. Are two phrases I say often. These are mottos I use in my life. LaSalle Hangout For Youth is doing this in spades! It was great to meet with Brian and the staff that has run the summer program and to hear about their experience, motivation and future plans. Also good to hear from the students that enjoy the valuable program. What a great service LaSalle Hangout provides to the LaSalle Community!

Nature Conservancy in Harrow | Aug 23, 2023
We dodged the rain this afternoon to celebrate the protection of important wetlands in Harrow. Essex County has a high quantity of endangered species and Nature Conservancy Canada (NCC) have committed to taking care of these lands for future generations to enjoy. Thank you to NCC and their whole team, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks for Ontario, David Piccini, MPP Anthony Leardi , MP Irek Kusmierczyk for celebrating this great achievement for the region. I was happy to be out in the area where I grew up enjoying nature.
Bad news for housing in Canada: Investment in residential construction is down for the fourth consecutive month, falling 4.5% recently. Ontario and Vancouver saw drops of 5.8% and 3.2% respectively, contributing to a 20% year-over-year decrease.
Justin Trudeau’s catch-and-release bail policies, passed in Bill C-75, have unleashed a wave of violent crime across the country. They have not reversed their catch-and-release policies, they want to continue with the same Liberal policies that, supported by the NDP, have caused a massive crime wave across the country.
Canadians deserve better than soaring costs and out-of-control debt. Despite claims of progress, inflation is still hurting struggling families. Under Trudeau’s watch with NDP support, households are grappling with rising bills due to massive deficits and punishing taxes.

Touring Rochester Place in Belle River | Aug 2, 2023
Thank you, Tina and General Manager, Stefanie Goulding, for the tour of Rochester Place and information on your developments about the resort and golf course. This is a beautiful location and I look forward to seeing this resort grow over the comings years. The new RVs here are the perfect place to retreat over the summer months. Great place and great staff team!
RV Sales and Maintenance | Aug 2, 2023
Thank you, Rob for your hard work selling and maintaining RVs here in Harrow and across the county. You are doing a great job along with the whole team at Larry Renaud RV. RV sales and maintenance, just like so many other businesses, are struggling, at times, to find the next generation of workers. I look forward to a day when Conservatives can take these kinds of problems on and implement some solutions!
Canada ranks 64th in the OECD in the time it takes to get a building permit. Government red tape adds as much as $1,300,000 to each house in some cities, and the Prime Minister has made it worse by giving gatekeepers that block building more money.
Meeting with CARP | Aug 1, 2023
Today I had a great meeting with CARP (Canadian Association of Retired Persons). Thank you to the members of the Long Term Care Transformation Committee (LTCTC) of CARP for explaining your frustration and concern regarding long term care for seniors. It certainly was a productive meeting with many great ideas put forward.
I will bring these concerns to our Leader, Pierre Poilievre and my Conservative colleagues.
“At the same latitude as the Mediterranean, the Lake Erie North Shore Region (LENS) is nestled along Lake Erie. This location provides a unique climate in a continental region, with exceptional soil conditions and longer sun hours and greater heat units than any other area in Canada.”
