Axe The Tax | Dec 23, 2024

The carbon tax is only making it harder for families to afford holiday essentials—groceries, gifts, even heating their homes.

Meeting with Unifor Local 195 | Dec 19, 2024

It was a great meeting this morning at Unifor Local 195. We had good discussion on many topics around labor, the auto industry, and our region.

There is work to be done and it is good to have open communication between our labour representatives and both levels of government.

I am looking forward to our continued conversations and working together to bring home powerful paycheques and a more prosperous Canada.

Canadians Can’t Find Jobs | Dec 19, 2024

Coalition Government Fails to Create Enough Jobs For Surging Population

Liberal-NDP policies have failed Canadians, leading to fewer jobs, rising unemployment, and a struggling economy. With unemployment at its highest since 2017 and fewer job opportunities for a growing population, it’s clear their approach isn’t working. Canadians deserve better—Common Sense Conservatives will restore prosperity and bring home powerful paycheques.

Shop Local This Holiday Season | Dec 18, 2024

Shop Local, Support Local This Holiday Season!

This Christmas, let’s support the amazing small businesses that make our community special. Whether it’s unique gifts, handcrafted goods, or delicious local treats, shopping local helps strengthen our economy and keeps the holiday spirit alive close to home.

Every purchase from a local shop is a gift to our neighbors, friends, and families who pour their hearts into their businesses. Together, we can make a big difference!

Touring a Local Canning Factory | Dec 18, 2024

Great tour of a local canning factory that is making Essex proud and putting food on the table of so many.

Sunbrite is a third generation family business that has grown up right here in Ruthven.

Thanks for the informative tour and insightful conversation!

Touring With my Conservative Colleague | Dec 18, 2024

Pleased to welcome my colleague, John Barlow, MP Foothills, Shadow Minister for Agriculture, Agri-Food, and Food Security to Kingsville and join a tour with Dave Epp, MP Chatham-Kent-Leamington at Mucci Farms.

It was incredible to see the operation that brings Smuccies Sweet Strawberries to our tables and to meet some of the workers responsible for managing the growing if not just strawberries but tomatoes a cucumbers! We discussed the priorities of sustainable farming, food security and how our region will contribute to feed the world.

Canada Has Never Had a $62 billion deficit | Dec 17, 2024

There is no government in the history of Canada that has ever run a $62 billion deficit.

It is up to Jagmeet Singh now to make that realization. Mr. Trudeau is being held in office by one man, Jagmeet Singh.

How can he possibly still have confidence in Justin Trudeau when no one else does?

Canadians Want an Election | Dec 16, 2024

No one has confidence in Trudeau, not even his own cabinet ministers.

Will the NDP?????

Thank You to All Who Attended the Parade | Dec 16, 2024

What an amazing parade over the weekend in Essex Centre! It was nice to see so many families out enjoying the festivities at the parade and at the Santa’s Village & Market.

Thanks to my team that came out and braved the cold weather to join me!

Loved hearing people yelling “axe the tax”…

Liberals Voted Against Canadians | Dec 13, 2024

The Liberals decided to vote against a Common Sense Conservative motion that would’ve axed the sales tax on new homes under $1 million. This would’ve saved Canadians up to $50,000 on the price of a new home, and would’ve sparked the construction of 30,000 more houses and apartments every year.

Axe the Carbon Tax | Dec 12, 2024

Singh and the NDP have voted 24 times to support Justin Trudeau’s inflationary carbon tax, making everyone’s life more expensive. Families will now have to spend $800 more on food next year than they did in 2024. And now, Singh has given Trudeau the go-ahead to hike the carbon tax again in the spring

Reverse Bill C-5 | Dec 11, 2024

Our motion calls on Trudeau and the NDP to reverse Bill C-5, which ended mandatory jail time for some violent offenders, reinstate longer sentences for drug kingpins, ban fentanyl precursors, and stop buying dangerous opioids that harm vulnerable Canadians.

We Need Common Sense in Our Governments Fall Economic Statement | Dec 10, 2024

Stop all planned tax hikes, especially the job-killing carbon tax hikes.

Stop fuelling inflation, by cutting wasteful inflationary spending and axing the sales tax on homes to save up to $50,000 for homebuyers and sparking the construction of 30,000 more houses and apartments a year.

Stop adding debt, by confirming that the deficit for this year and last year has not risen above the $40 billion guardrail that Finance Minister Freeland promised in this year’s budget.

Conservatives want to Axe the Sales Tax on New Homes | Dec 10, 2024

Today, the NDP-Liberal government has a choice: they can either vote for a Common Sense Conservative motion that will axe the sales tax on new homes under $1 million. Or, they can vote against lowering the cost of home building and mortgage payments for Canadians.

The NDP’s Continue Propping Up this Failing Government | Dec 9, 2024

Jagmeet Singh and the NDP have once again betrayed Canadian workers. Today, they voted against a non-confidence motion based on Singh’s own words, keeping Justin Trudeau in power. This decision paves the way for another carbon tax hike in the spring, further burdening Canadians already struggling with skyrocketing costs.

Despite promising to end his costly coalition with Trudeau, Singh has voted three times to prop up this failing government

The Cost of Food is Set to Rise in 2025 | Dec 7, 2024

The cost of food will increase by 3 to 5 percent in 2025.

The NDP-Liberal government is planning on hiking the carbon tax again next year, as part of their plan to quadruple the carbon tax to 61 cents per litre by 2030.

Only Common Sense Conservatives will bring home lower prices for Canadians.
