Canadians Deserve Real Solutions | Nov 25, 2024
Justin Trudeau is attempting to distract Canadians with a two-month temporary tax trick and a $250 cheque to be sent in April 2025.
Jagmeet Singh said he wouldn’t support Trudeau anymore. Now, he’s backing Trudeau until his pension kicks in on February 25, 2025, betraying Canadians for political gain.
Instead of relief, Trudeau and Singh are giving Canadians a short-lived tax break, while planning to raise taxes on heat, housing, food, and fuel in just a few months.
Canadians will not be fooled!
Canadians deserve real solutions, not temporary tricks. Only Common-Sense Conservatives are ready to deliver lower prices, better jobs, and affordable homes.

Kingsville Parade | Nov 16, 2024
It was parade time in the Town of Kingsville on November 16th.
The first of many Christmas Parades happening across the riding of Essex!
Imagine Canada | Nov 15, 2024
It was a pleasure meeting with Imagine Canada, yesterday. They advocate for non-profit organizations and shared the need for better government representation.
After nine years of Justin Trudeau, life has become overwhelmingly difficult for many Canadians and non-profit agencies continue to support Canadians through these hard times. I will continue championing these non-profit agencies as they continue serving Canadians.
Thank you for this informative meeting, your advocacy for non-profits and all of your hard work!
Trudeau’s Carbon Tax | Nov 14, 2024
The NDP-Liberals charge small businesses a costly carbon tax, driving up the cost of their goods and operations. Now we learn Trudeau is charging Canadian businesses income tax on his carbon tax ‘rebates’. A tax on a tax is yet another Trudeau scam.
After nine years of Trudeau, Canada is going through the worst decline in our living standards in forty years. We have the worst drop in income per person and the worst economic growth in the OECD. Trudeau’s inflationary policies and taxes are hurting Canadians and weakening paycheques. The last thing Canadians need is another tax.
Trudeau’s Housing Horror | Nov 13, 2024
Yesterday, Habitat for Humanity released its Affordable Housing Survey, showing the effects that Trudeau’s housing hell has had on Canadians.
According to this survey, 82 percent of Canadians now worry that the housing crisis is impacting the health and well-being of Canadians, while 88 percent of renters now say the dream of homeownership is out of reach. Worse still, 59 percent of Canadians – and 75 percent of renters – are having to sacrifice basic needs such as food, clothing and their education to afford rent or mortgage payments. Two-thirds of renters feel their mental health and well-being are impacted by their rent costs and one-third of homeowners say the same is true for the cost of their mortgage.
Common Sense Conservatives have a plan to bring affordable homes for Canadians. A Pierre Poilievre government will restore the dream of homeownership by axing the federal sales tax on new homes sold for under $1 million – a tax cut that will spark 30,000 extra homes built every year.
Conservatives will also tie federal infrastructure funding to housing completions.
Axe the Tax | Nov 13, 2024
The carbon tax has hiked up the cost of food, forcing families to pay $700 more for food this year than they did in 2023. Millions of Canadians now have to rely on food banks to survive.
This was made evident yesterday through the Daily Bread Food Bank’s Who’s Hungry report. The report described Toronto as a “city trapped in poverty,” after Trudeau’s spending and taxes led to rising food prices and rent costs. As a result of this, more than one in ten residents have had to use a food bank, rising by 36 percent from this time last year.
Common Sense Conservatives will axe the tax, build the homes and fix the budget to bring home lower prices and powerful paycheques for all Canadians.
Essex Region Community Food bank | Nov 12, 2024
It was a pleasure to meet with the Essex Region Community Food bank today.
I met with some of the volunteers and received a tour of their new and improved space. They continue to supply and support our community and I am very grateful for all of their hard work.
Thank you to everyone who continues to help feed our beautiful community.
More Canadian Energy, Not Less | Nov 10, 2024
More Canadian energy, not less.
For 9 years, Liberals and the NDP have worked to shut down and phase out Canada’s oil & gas sector through anti-energy policies like:
– No-More-Pipelines law C-69
– Tanker ban law C-48
– Proposed emissions cap
These policies deter investment and hinder our energy sector’s potential.
Clean Canadian energy, such as liquefied natural gas, can replace dirtier sources of power and reduce reliance on energy from some of the world’s worst regimes.
Canadian energy workers lead in reducing emissions, respecting human rights, and providing stable, safe energy, while strengthening communities.
Let us know if you support us on this.
Honour and Remember | Nov 9, 2024
Honour and remember.
I was privileged to join in Belle River to do just that. To remember those who willingly served and gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. To honour those who chose, in courage, to go, to fight, to defend, and the family that let them go.
With gratitude in my heart I say thank you. We will remember.
Veterans’ Week | Nov 6, 2024
This Veterans’ Week, November 5-11, we honour all Canadians who have served, past and present, in times of war, military conflict, peace, and humanitarian missions. This year’s theme, Canadian Armed Forces Around the World, reminds us of the global impact of our military—whether on the beaches of Normandy, peacekeeping in Cyprus, or fighting wildfires at home.
Let’s take time to remember their bravery and sacrifice, and to thank those who support Veterans in our communities.
Sales Tax Cut on New Homes | Nov 5, 2024
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre announced that a Conservative government will axe GST on new homes sold for less than a million dollars.
Conservatives are calling on Premiers to match our sales tax cut by also axing the Provincial Sales Tax on new homes. This would save Canadians in affected provinces up to $150,000 on a new house.
Only Common Sense Conservatives will bring home Canada’s promise: that hard work earns a powerful paycheque that buys affordable food and homes in safe neighbourhoods.
Remembrance Week | Nov 4, 2024
Each year, I look forward to starting Remembrance Week in Woodslee. It is good to remember and to honour those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. It is important to take the time to thank those who risked it all for our Country. They willingly went, they served with bravery and conviction and they returned forever changed by war.
The sacrifice of parents and grandparents, spouses and children and extended family and friends must not be forgotten. They willingly said goodbye to their loved ones to face each day with uncertainty. My heart is filled with gratitude, today and every day for their service.
Thank you veterans and those who continue to serve Canada. Please also take a minute to thank a veteran and our service members.
Human Trafficking up 73% | Nov 1, 2024
Human Trafficking Increases By 73 Percent Under NDP/Liberal Government.
According to today’s Statistics Canada report, police-reported human trafficking cases rose from 330 in 2015 to 597 in 2022, with over half remaining unsolved. In 84% of cases, charges are stayed, withdrawn, dismissed, or discharged. Every Canadian Premier has urged the government to end catch-and-release bail policies after 256 people were murdered in 2022 by criminals out on bail.
Only Common Sense Conservatives will prioritize safety by ensuring violent criminals face jail, not bail.
